We need your help to spread the word about Margdarshak. Unlike the corporate media, Margdarshak does not have millions of rupees to advertise our career development program. We rely on you to tell others about the authentic, impartial guidance that Margdarshak provides to students and adults.

1. Send an Email to Family and Friends

Subject: An invitation from [name]

I just joined Margdarshak to get career guidance for [school name]. Sign up for their career development program.

Go to www.Margdarshak to get started.

2. Add an Email Footer

One of the best ways to promote Margdarshak (and career guidance) is to add a message to the bottom of your outgoing emails. Here is some sample text and directions on how to set this up so that it happens automatically.

Yahoo Mail:

Login to your Yahoo! Mail account.

Select Mail Options from navigation bar.

Follow the Signature link (under Personalization).

Enter the desired message in the text field.


Login to your gmail account.

Go to Mail Settings.

Click on Options.

Scroll down to the Signature section.

Type the desired message in the text field and click "Save Changes."


Login to your HotMail account.

Go to the Mail category.

Click on Options.

Follow the Personal email Signature link.

Type the desired message in the text field and click Save.


Launch Outlook.

Select Tools, than select Options.

Click the Mail Format Tab.

Click the Signatures button.

Type the desired message in the text field and click OK to save.

3. Share this Video

Pass along this short video that explains how Margdarshak works. Here are a few ways to use it:

Send it to the non-profit or school you support and ask them to help spread the word

Post it on your social network and ask your friends to help you support your charity

Send it in an email to your friends or colleagues and as them to help you support the cause of career development.

4. Add a Margdarshak Logo to Your Website, Blog or Profile

You can support Margdarshak by adding a Margdarshak logo or button to your website or blog. It helps promote career awareness.

Use the following instructions to add a logo or button to your website or blog.

5. Blog about Us

This is one of the best ways to get the word out to all of your friends and supporters. Here's an example of what other bloggers have written that you can feel free to customise and share with others:

8. Set Homepage

Internet Explorer Instructions

Go to Tools and select Internet Options

Select the General Tab

Paste http://www.Margdarshak/ as the homepage and click OK.

Firefox Instructions

Go to Tools and select Options

Select the General Tab

Paste http://www.Margdarshak/ as the homepage and click OK.

Safari Instructions

Go to Safari and select Preferences

Select the General tab

Paste http://www.Margdarshak/ as the homepage and click OK.

Chrome Instructions

Go to the upper right hand corner of the screen and click on the Tools Icon

Select Options.

Under the basics tab and under the Home Page section, choose "Open the following page"

Add http://www.Margdarshak/ to the URL box and click Close.

Wear a Margdarshak Tshirt, hat, tote a Margdarshak bag, or outfit your car or bike with a Margdarshak bumper sticker.

10. Flyering — Whether trying to rally support to start a campaign to bring Margdarshak to your community, flyering is a great way to introduce Margdarshak to a large number and variety of people. Hand out flyers at events, rallies, schools, meetings or other gatherings and public spaces in your community.

11. Take Out Ads or Make Banners and Signs — The corporate media is all over our public spaces, you can help Margdarshak occupy some of them by placing ads in your local newspapers, on city buses, hordings, or by printing banners and putting road signs.

12. Table at Events — Get the word out by tabling at street bazars, fairs, festivals, lectures, conferences, and anywhere else you can think of.

13. Organize a Seminar, Career Workshop — There are many different ways to introduce new audiences to Margdarshak in Schools, Colleges and RWAs (Resident Welfare Association) premises.

14. Subscribe Newsletters — Ask your friends to sign up on the top left of Margdarshak home page to get Margdarshak email career bulletin regularly.

15. Margdarshak in the Classroom — Show Margdarshak programs and exciting tool in the classroom.

16. Encourage People to Subscribe to Margdarshak Podcast — Podcasting is a great way to have knowledge about Margdarshak. Watch/Listen whenever you like. Let your friends know Margdarshak is easily available in podcast format here.

Volunteer — Democracy Now! relies heavily on the support of its volunteers. You may volunteer at our studio/office in New York City or from your own home. Volunteers also help at Amy Goodman’s speaking events.

Attend DN! Events — Check our Calendar of Events to find out when Amy Goodman will be in your community, and then tell all your friends. Also consider volunteering at one of these events if it is in your area.

Bookmark, Share and Follow Us Buttons

Toward the top of many Save the Children web pages there are “Share” and “Follow Us” buttons. Note: When you want to share a web page, make sure to start from the web page that you want to share.

The Share button makes it easy to share content with others or to bookmark it for you.

Sharing content allows you to spread the word and raise awareness of a story or issue.

Bookmarking helps you easily find a web page for future reference.

There are many different tools available for bookmarking and spreading the word. You can choose a tool that you currently use OR you can choose one that you may not. Simply move your mouse over the "share" button and click on its icon to register for an account. Then you may simply log on and use it in the future.

Follow Us Button

The Follow Us button allows you to follow us and/or join us on various popular social networks. Save the Children has created communities on various popular social networks. These communities help bring together a group of like-minded people to share interests, ideas and opinions, to work together to spread the word, and to connect with us and others in an informal environment. Some of our current online communities include:

Then you may log on and use it to connect with our online community, other communities, or simply to stay in touch with your friends and family.
